Scientific Writer

Location: Champaign-Urbana, IL- Research Park

Salary: Commensurate with demonstrated abilities

 

Responsibilities:

We seek a Scientific Writer whose primary job is to write and submit scientific documents such as study reports, scientific manuscripts, patent applications, and FDA regulatory submissions. Those with a masters or doctoral degree in Biological Science or English and experience in writing are encouraged to apply. We are a research company aiming to shift a paradigm in the animal neutering/spaying market. Our new technology will replace surgical sterilization procedures in pets and production animals with a single injection solution. Now we are performing mid-scale animal studies and accumulating data for the initiation of the FDA approval process. We are located in the Research Park of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (https://researchpark.illinois.edu). 

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  M.A. or PhD in Biological Science or English

  •  Recent 1-2 years of scientific manuscript writing experience

  •  Excellent written and oral English language skills

Senior Scientist

Location: Champaign-Urbana, IL- Research Park

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Travel: Less than 5%

 

Epivara is seeking to hire a highly motivated scientist who will support research and development of non-surgical sterilization methods for animals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory and field (animal) experiments.

  • Analyze data and generate written reports to supervisor

  • Present data at internal and external meetings

  • Assist in the preparation of grant and patent applications

 

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Biology or Biomedical-related field (Required)

  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals (Required)

  • Prior experience in veterinary, animal sciences or biomedical research (Preferred)

  • Proficiency in use of the computer and statistical analysis software (Required)

  • Proficiency in molecular biology, HPLC, bioinformatics and drug delivery (Preferred)

 

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Adaptable and capable of performing well under pressure

  • Statistics
